Greetings, Global Leaders in Genomic Medicine!
We’re delighted to share this newsletter highlighting recent developments and upcoming opportunities of the International Health Cohorts Consortium (IHCC), a program of the Global Genomic Medicine Collaborative (GGMC). Together, we are building a world where genomic medicine benefits everyone, everywhere.
Taiwan Biobank: A Treasure Trove for Global Health Research
This quarter, we spotlight the Taiwan Biobank, a member of IHCC and a national biobank established in 2008. This rich resource contains genetic, phenotypic, and lifestyle data from over half a million participants. The Taiwan Biobank is a valuable tool for researchers investigating a wide range of health conditions, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, and infectious diseases.
We encourage IHCC members to explore collaboration opportunities with the Taiwan Biobank. More information about the biobank and its access procedures can be found on their website: https://www.biobank.org.tw/.
Fogarty International Center Funding Opportunities
The Fogarty International Center (FIC), a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), offers a variety of funding opportunities to support international collaborative health research. These grants can be used to support a wide range of activities, including investigator exchanges, workshops, fellowships and collaborative research projects.
We recommend IHCC members visit the FIC website to learn more about their funding programs: https://www.fic.nih.gov/Funding.
